Along the way, they will become familiar with the technical terminology and analytical methods scholars used to evaluate narrations, including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Classification of hadith according to authenticity<\/li>\n<li>Evaluation of narrators through \u02bfIlm al-Rij\u0101l<\/li>\n<li>Identification of hidden defects or fabricated reports<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The course will also examine the formation of the major hadith compendiums, the methodological differences between early scholars, and the broader intellectual tradition that preserved the Sunnah with remarkable precision.<\/p>\n<p>Students will engage with foundational works in hadith studies and gain a framework for understanding both classical scholarship and contemporary discussions surrounding hadith.<\/p>\n<p>This is a\u00a0<strong>structured classroom course<\/strong>\u00a0intended for students seeking deeper engagement with the Islamic scholarly tradition.
